What Mobile Magazine Awards 2009Last night in London at the Jalouse club, mobile phone magazine What Mobile hosted there annual awards. Which were voted for by the public. These awards cover various categories and below we have listed some of the main winners on the night.

It was a great night for BlackBerry, as they picked up to awards winning best mobile app with the Facebook for BlackBerry app and best business phone with the 8520 Curve. Samsung secure the best mobile phone camera with the Samsung Pixon 12 – lucky for them that the Satio has just been released, as i think they would have missed out if it had. The HTC Hero picked up best Smartphone award, while the Android OS picked up the Editors Choice award. Best music phone went to the fantastically popular Sony Ericsson W995, which is the flagship member of the Walkman range. Orange picked up the best network award on the night, whilst T-Mobile took home the best mobile broadband prize.

Nokia picked up best manufacturer despite showing poor results for this year and losing some of there market share. The big winner of the night was LG with the BL40 Chocolate picking up mobile phone of the year. Surprisingly for me, was the Samsung Jet not getting a mention, but i suppose this might have been released too late in the year, even though it has been one of the best selling phones for the last few months.
