O2 To Charge Out Of Contract Customer £15 To Unlock Their iPhones

Are you a iPhone customer on the O2 network, but you fancy switching over to Orange, or maybe Vodafone when they get the handset next year?. Well, I have read a article in the Guardian saying that for small fee – O2 say that customers at the end of their contracts, will be able to unlock their iPhone’s so that they will work on other networks – Sim Free and Unlocked.
The “Small” is a matter of opinion I suppose, but we have heard that it will cost £14.97 to have your iPhone unlocked. iPhone Pay & Go customers who have had their iPhone for more than 12 months will be entitled to unlock their devices too. However, if you are still in your contract and wish to switch, then you will have to pay up the remainder first.
