The LG Viewty Smart GC900 is an impressive new touchscreen camera phone with great looks and great capabilities. Successor to the original KU990 Viewty and previously known as the Viewty II, the new GC900 leaves behind the boxy design of the original and has a modern, sculpted look with a brushed metal-style rear panel. This really is a fine-looking mobile.

The 3 inch screen has a very high resolution of 800×400 pixels and it uses LG’s S-Class touchscreen interface with multitouch input. The 8 megapixel camera has geo-tagging and a Schneider-Kreuznach lens. It features face and smile recognition for up to three people in one photograph and varying ISO levels making it capable of producing excellent photographs. The camera can also record DVD quality video at 30 frames per second.

The LG Viewty Smart GC900 has Wi-Fi, HSDPA, 3G and GPS with Google Maps. It has a very good media player with support for DivX and XviD movies. The 3 inch screen has a built in accelerometer, which is useful for gaming, viewing photos or watching movies in wide screen aspect. Other noteworthy features include an FM radio and document view supporting Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files.
